General Information

Tech Prep

Tech Prep is a federally funded program which provides grants to local schools for the purpose of assisting students to explore educational opportunities beyond high school. It provides students with the chance to participate in a wide range of activities that can act as a stepping stone to continuing their education.

Some Tech Prep activities include field trips to local colleges, visits to college fairs and tours of college programs that may interest NCAHS students. The program also offers qualified participants the opportunity to take a college class (tuition free) or participate in career days designed to spark an interest in students in a variety of technological fields.

Tech Prep provides the opportunity to participate in activitities FREE, and covers the transportation fee to Tech Prep field trips. It offers students an opportunity to learn about local schools, and what they have to offer. It also provides them with a basis for comparison for other college visits as they begin to decide where they would like to attend school.
