SCHOOL PROFILE 2006 - 2007
Norfolk County Agricultural High School is a selective, four-year
public high school accredited by the New England Association
of Schools and Colleges.
GRADING SYSTEM
The school year is divided into four marking periods (terms)
and into two semesters. Courses may be one or two semesters
in length. A letter grading system of A-F is used. F is considered
a failing grade and no credits are issued. There are four course
levels: College Standard Level 1, Standard Level 2, Tech Standard
Level 3, and Inclusion/Resource Level 4.
Class Rank is a weighted ranking system computed by using both
class levels and course grades. All courses are included with
the exception of the Cooperative Work Experience Program (CWEP).
Honor Roll Policy: High Honors are awarded to students who maintain
all A letter grades and one B in all courses. Honors are available
to students who maintain B or better grades with one C in all
courses.

The Cooperative Work Experience program is

internships and apprenticeship opportunities in
the student’s career major.

Enrollment are also available.

ACTIVITIES
A wide range of co-curricular activities offers students opportunities
to develop special talents and leadership. Included are: National
Honor Society, Yearbook, FFA, Student Council, Peer Network
and Chorus. School Clubs include: Animal Science, Music, Conservation,
Marine Biology, Equestrian Drill Team, Landscape, Forestry,
Floriculture, Veterinarian Assistant and Agricultural Mechanics.
Athletic teams include: soccer, cross country, basketball, baseball,
softball, volleyball and cheerleading.

SCHOOL LOCATION
Norfolk County Agricultural High School is situated in the town
of Walpole and serves Norfolk County and its twenty-eight member
communities. The current student population represents 71 different
communities in Southeastern Massachusetts. The campus is situated
on 300 acres that contain all of the main educational buildings
and facilities.
DIRECTIONS
Norfolk County Agricultural High School is located in Walpole
and is convenient to Rts. 495 and 95. The school is approximately
25 miles from Boston, MA and 25 miles from Providence, RI.
