What happens next?
Once we have received your completed application, you will be invited to attend an Admissions Program. At the Admissions Program, you will receive even more information about the school, spend time visiting our programs, meet students and staff, and have an opportunity to be interviewed by school personnel.
To help your application along, it would be helpful if you could assist with the following:
  • Follow up with your sending school to make sure they have sent your student’s records to the NCAHS Admissions Office after second term or the first trimester.
  • If you live outside of Norfolk County, you must submit a Non-Resident Tuition Form to your Superintendent of Schools PRIOR to April 1st. We will issue these forms after February 1st.
What are the Admissions Criteria?

Students who complete an application and participate in a personal interview will be considered for admission once all school records have been received.
A complete review of each student's application will include a review of the following:
Scholastic Record
We review the student’s grades from both last year and the current year.
Attendance Record
We assess the student’s attendance record from both last year and  the current year.
Discipline and Conduct Record
The sending school provides us with the student’s record for last year and the current year.
Sending School Recommendation
Provided by the sending school. Please be aware that our Admissions Policy does not allow us to consider any other letters of recommendation.
Personal Interview
Students will be interviewed by school personnel during the Admissions Program.

How does the Admissions Process work?
  1. Each application is scored, and we accept students based on the highest to lowest score.
  2. Students may be accepted or they will be placed on a waiting list.
  3. Students will be accepted from the waiting list as space becomes available.
  4. Students who do not meet the minimum requirements may reapply the following year.
  5. Students who are accepted must participate in a Placement Testing Program. This testing helps everyone select the right high school courses for each student.
